Saudade, 2011
Broom, silverware, cotton fabric, adhesive, dimensions variable

more info
Suadade is a Portuguese term that translates to happy/longing. In this piece I covered forks, knives, spoons, and a broom in vibrant patterns of fabric that have been derived from African, Brazilian and American cultures. This cacophonous collection of silverware, have been muted with fabric and are then impossibly stacked in a corner as if trying to clean-up after a party.
